Au Bon Climat Winery

Au Bon Climat which means “a well exposed vineyard” was founded in 1982 by winemaker Lim Clendenen. The winery specializes in making Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay from grapes grown in the famous Bien Nacido vineyard. Jim has been named winemaker of the year by the Los Angeles Times and Food and Wine Magazine.

The winery itself is not open to public tours or tasting. They have two off-site tasting rooms at 1672 Mission Drive in Solvang, California and 911 Price St. in Pismo Beach, California. Their ABC wine club offers exclusive direct shipments and discounts. Members receive two to three shipments per year.
